Susan Canaday Henry

Pop Fantastic's bright, distinct and whimsical illustrations are the creations of artist SC Henry. Her influences range from underground and edgy to the fantastical and glamorous, including figures such as Andy Warhol, Disney, Siouxsie Sioux, Audrey Hepburn, Mother Nature, and Barbie for further inspiration . In the late 90's, Susan followed the advice of avant-garde filmmaker Stan Brakhage to develop her craft in New York City. Susan graduated from Pratt Institute having studied under artists such as filmmaker George Griffin, animator Steve Dovas, illustrator Joseph A Smith and experimental animator Jim Trainor. Drawing inspiration from the nonstop energy of New York and its vibrant residents, Susan recently completed the  "NYC Nightlife: Punk & Rock" which have drawn tremendous praise and interest in her portraiture work of NYC culture.
